The coin was encapsulated with the aptly-themed Big 5 Label. The coin features a visually stunning Black Core Holder. This series was struck on a 1 oz. 999 pure silver planchet. The mintage of this issue is a mere 15,000 coins for collectors around the world. Each reverse features one half of an Elephant’s portrait, so when two coins are placed side by side, a full Elephant appears. The coin was struck by the South African Mint. Obverse: The obverse of the coin features a close-up of a bull elephant. The South African Coat of Arms appears centered below the elephant image. Inscriptions include South Africa Big Five 2021.
