SPECIAL PEDIGREE: BIG 5 & KRUGERRAND PF SET. SPECIAL PEDIGREE: FIRST RELEASES. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THIS PEDIGREE IS BY SENDING IN SEALED SETS. NOT MANY COINS WILL HAVE THIS PEDIGREE BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE. OPEN AND HIGH GRADE THE SETS. They send the good coins to grading and then. Sell the rejects (at a hefty premium) as if they were simply normal new ungraded coins. They re-assemble the rejected raw coins as a “new” set for a high price – so beware. I send sealed sets to grading as I have no intentions of passing off reject raw coins in that manner. This ELEPHANT coin was available as a 2-coin set with a mintage of 1000 sets. This ELEPHANT coin was available in the Krugerrand Privy set with a maximum mintage of 1000 sets. Those 2 sets combined yield a total maximum mintage of 3,000 ELEPHANT proof coins.
