This listing is for an antique hand-hammered/crafted solid silver punch or soup ladle. It has wonderful hand-chasing with an elephant on the top of the handle. There are no hallmarks on this piece to definitively attribute it to a specific country but the engraving/design on the top is similar to wares made in Colonial India. It has been tested for silver content and it is 90% silver or better. The ladle is 13″ long and the deep bowl is 3″ in diameter. The silver is thick and heavy gauge with an overall weight of 153.3 grams (4.93 troy ounces). There are no monograms. Great condition with no noted distracting issues. There is one scratch on the back of the handle where someone tested for silver content. I have lightly polished this piece but it could use a more thorough polishing.
