The Bush Elephant may be the star of all the animal documentaries, and so only few people are aware of the existence and the critical status of the Forest Elephant population. Were are approximately half a million Bush Elephants all over Africa, but less than hundred thousand Forest Elephants, and the number is decreasing at an alarming rate due to the increasing numbers of poachers and due to civil wars and poverty. The Forest Elephant needs our help, and the first step is to make known his species and his problems to the world.
